A light and a dark theme are available. The site first applies the theme according to the one used by the browser. The user can then change it he wants to.

Technicalities

I chose to use the static site generator Hugo to manage its content, because of a few key advantages over other website building tools.

One of the main benefits is its speed. Because Hugo generates static websites, it doesn’t need to rely on databases or server-side scripting, which can slow down other platforms. This means that websites built with Hugo load quickly and provide a great user experience for visitors.

The multilingual feature was also used to create an English and a French version of the site.

GitLab CI/CD is used for the build process of this site: on each git commit, the site is rebuilt. Then, the generated files are sent to Infomaniak’s web hosting platform. The whole process takes less than 30 seconds.
